ASA Asbestos Surveying Services

There are 3 types of surveys available

Type 1 Survey:

Survey Discription:
A non-intrusive assessment survey providing a presumptive register of Asbestos containing materials.

ASA Services Includes:
A qualified / certified Asbestos survey undertakes a non intrusive survey of your premises in order to provide you with an Asbestos report and register indicating where Asbestos is presumed to exist within your building. Two copies of the report are issued.

Type 2 Survey:

Survey Description:
An identification and assessment survey which includes sampling of suspected materials and laboratory testing which provides a verified register of Asbestos containing materials.

ASA Services Includes:
These are the most common type of survey. A qualified / certified Asbestos surveyor will undertake a survey which includes the taking of samples of suspected materials, in accordance with MDHS 100. The samples are sent to an independent UKAS P402 accredited laboratory, to confirm or refute the material is asbestos. The resulting report and register will indicate where Asbestos is known or is strongly presumed to exist within your building. A standard risk assessment scoring system, as detailed by the HSE provides you with an objective risk awareness. Two copies of the report are issued.

Type 3 Survey:

Survey Description:

Full access sampling and identification survey, used for Pre demolition or before major refurbishment which provides a verified and thorough Asbestos register in preparation for contract tendering and or the compiling of Health & Safety Plans.

ASA Services Includes:
This type of survey is designed to be used as a basis for tendering of works which will disturb any Asbestos even if it is enclosed within the structure of the building, including the removal of any asbestos containing materials prior to demolition or refurbishment. When the surveys are completed, the location, condition of all asbestos containing materials are recorded in the form of a asbestos register which can be made available to any contractors or submitted as part of a Health & Safety Plan.
